Follow the C.O.D.E.

Effective messaging doesn’t happen by accident. It needs structure.

That's why I created and follow the C.O.D.E. Let me explain…

It’s my 4-part nonprofit messaging process I use to transform vague communication into high-performing copy that grabs attention, sparks emotion, and drives action.

If your last appeal flopped…If your donor emails are getting ignored…If your nonprofit content sounds "fine" but falls flat—

Following the C.O.D.E. will fix it.

Here's How My C.O.D.E. Writing System Works

C = Collect

Find the emotional thread.I start by digging deep into your cause, your audience, and the copy you’ve already used. More importantly, I look for what your donors want to feel when they support your mission. This emotional clarity is the foundation of persuasive donor messaging.

O = Organize & Research

Sharpen the message.I turn raw input into a clear, compelling donor story. I organize the essentials, toss what’s not working, and fill the gaps with research that adds credibility and urgency. No fluff—just a message built to resonate and convert.

D = Draft

Build the momentum.This is where everything clicks. Every line is crafted to pull the reader forward—toward donating, subscribing, or signing up. Your voice. Your mission. Translated into copy that drives results across appeals, nonprofit emails, campaign landing pages, and more.

E = Edit

Cut the fluff. Keep the fire.Every word gets tested. Every sentence gets sharpened. I fine-tune your fundraising copy until it’s clean, clear, and high-converting. No filler. Just powerful nonprofit messaging that works.

Here's Why The C.O.D.E. Works (When So Much Doesn’t)

Most nonprofit copy falls flat because it’s based on guessing.

The C.O.D.E. process is based on what actually moves donors to act—clarity, empathy, storytelling, and a smart nonprofit writing strategy.

It’s the same process I’ve used to help nonprofits like Big Brothers Big Sisters and United Way raise more, engage deeper, and build lasting donor trust.

I can do the same for your organization too.
